Sample Au Pair Timetables

Every family will have different duties and a different timetable for their au pair. Some families will need their au pair to be very flexible with their hours of work and would not be able to give them a fixed weekly timetable.

Below are two examples of timetables for an au pair (25 hours per week) and an au pair plus who drives the family car (34 hours per week)

Monday - Friday
0715 Help children get dressed and make children's beds
0730 Make children's packed lunches
0745 Help with family breakfast. Load the washing machine and turn it on. Help clear breakfast, sweep the kitchen floor
0815 Walk one of the children to school
0830-0915 Hang out washing and do ironing
0915-1500 Free time for language school
1530 Collect one child from school
1545 Play with the children. Bring in the washing from washing line
1600 Help prepare food for children's tea
1645 Give children tea and help clean up afterwards

Below is a sample timetable for an au pair plus who drives the family car and works 34 hours per week. The host mother works 3 days per week.
